On Thursday Namco of Japan unveiled play modes of Tekken Tag Tournament for the Sony PlayStation2. There are seven play modes in total, and they are:

　　Arcade - The arcade port of the game. Players select two characters and battle to become the champion in the tournament.VS - Two to four players can play in this mode using the Multitap for the PS2. Players can have variations, such as one-on-one vs. battle or two-on-two vs. battle, with each character controlled by a human player. Team Battle - Players can select up to eight characters and fight in a match until one of the players loses all characters.Time Attack - Fight against CPU opponents using the shortest amount of time possible.Survival - Fight against CPU opponents until the player's character loses all health.Practice - Practice moves and view different moves for players to learn.Option - Change settings on difficulty, stage time options, and others.

　　One of the new features in the PlayStation2 version is that up to four players can play the game under the arcade mode or the vs. mode. Tekken Tag Tournament is set for a March 30 release.
