As revealed last month by Tremor Entertainment, Railroad Tycoon II is coming to the PlayStation. Take-Two finally made an announcement Friday that it will be publishing the game and that it will be landing in stores in January.
"We are extremely pleased to bring Railroad Tycoon II to the PlayStation," stated Ryan Brant, CEO of Take-Two Interactive. "Railroad Tycoon II was extremely successful on the PC and is sure to win a whole new set of fans on the PlayStation. With its unique concept and depth of gameplay, fans of true empire builders will find Railroad Tycoon II a welcome addition to their library."
The PC version of Railroad Tycoon II has sold in excess of two million copies worldwide. A version for the Sega Dreamcast is also currently in the works.
