Prince of Persia The Lost Crown has received more than 20 minutes of gameplay from an early pre-release build.

The new gameplay video is courtesy of Gameinformer and provides a glimpse of the game's combat, skills, platforming, enemies, and more. You can check out the gameplay video below.

Ubisoft's 2.5 Metroidvania-style new Prince of Persia was announced last week during Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest event. Interestingly, some days ago, Keighley tweeted to have played the Switch version of the game and confirmed that it ran "very smooth" at 60FPS on Nintendo's hybrid platform. Further details about resolution and whether this was in handheld or docked mode weren't shared.

Following last week's announcement, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown already received some stylish gameplay some days ago.

"Inspired by the Metroidvania structure, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown lets players explore a handcrafted world at their own pace", the official press release from last week reads. "From the majestic Citadel of Knowledge to the colorful landscapes of the Hyrcanian Forest, players will discover a variety of environments inspired by Persian mythology. By acquiring new time powers, unlocking unique abilities, and combining them in combat, Sargon will progressively delve deeper into Mount Qaf, solving puzzles, finding secrets, and completing exciting side quests."

"In this epic journey, Sargon will fight his way through mythical enemies, larger-than-life bosses, and vicious traps. By combining combat and platforming skills, players will defeat time-corrupted creatures such as Jahandar, the dreadful Manticore, guardian of the Citadel.  Players will be able to express their creativity in a deep and engaging combat system to trigger devastating combos."

Developed by Ubisoft's Montpellier studio, Prince of Persia The Lost Crown is slated for a global launch on January 18th, 2024, on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
