The second Ubisoft Forward stream has been confirmed for September 10, and it might feature the return of a dormant franchise. According to a report, a Prince of Persia remake will be announced during the event next week. [Update: The Russian Uplay site has now leaked the Prince of Persia remake, all but confirming its existence.]
Bloomberg's Jason Schreier mentioned in the latest episode of the Triple Click podcast (via Video Games Chronicle) that the remake will be featured in the upcoming stream, after previously leaking a few weeks ago. Schreier offered no additional details on what the remake might entail but did mention that it would be one of a few new games announced at the event.

Now Playing: Canceled Prince Of Persia Redemption Footage And A Fake Nintendo Direct | Good News Gaming
If true, this will be the first full installment the series has seen since 2010, which saw the launch of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. Since then Assassin's Creed has become one of Ubisoft's main focuses, with Prince of Persia's name only attached to experimental experiences such as escape rooms and VR-exclusive titles.
Back in 2018, series creator Jordan Mechner expressed interest in seeing the series revived, but little has suggested as much since. Earlier this year a gameplay demo of a cancelled Prince of Persia sequel surfaced (after being hosted online for years without being discovered), which Ubisoft quickly took down a few hours later.
Ubisoft Forward is taking place on September 10, with Immortals: Fenyx Rising expected to feature prominently. The game, formally known as Gods and Monsters, hasn't been seen since its reveal at E3 2019.
