During the month of September and through the first half of October, Electronic Arts' online community, Pogo.com, raised more than $38,000 to be directed toward fighting breast cancer--$20,000 was donated through player donations and $18,000 was donated by EA through a variety of "Pogo Cares" programs. "The Pogo.com and Club Pogo communities are strong vibrant audiences of gamers who are passionate about games and passionate about each other," said EA Online vice president Lesley Mansford. "Pogo members from across the country have taken this passion and turned it toward a good cause by gathering both online and offline in support of breast cancer research."
