The PlayStation VR headset has been in the works for quite some time, and soon players all over the world will be able to experience Virtual Reality on their PlayStation 4 consoles. The headset has been given a generic October release date some time ago, and during Sony E3 2016 conference a final release date has been confirmed.
The PlayStation VR headset will release in all markets on october 13th, alongside several titles that will take advantage of it. As previously announced, the headset will be available for purchase for the price of $399. The PlayStation VR also requires a PlayStation Move controller and camera, so players without them will have to spend more to enjoy the Virtual Reality experience on their PS4 consoles.
During yesterday's Sony E3 2016 conference, the publisher announced several PlayStation VR titles, including the very interesting Farpoint. Due to the nature of the game, a new type of controller is required. The PS VR Aim controller promises direct 1 to 1 tracking, allowing players to do things that wouldn't be possible in regular first person shooters. This new type of controller will surely open up some interesting possibilities, allowing developers to move beyond the Dual Shock 4 and Move combination we have seen so far.
The PlayStation VR will launch on October 13th in all regions. More on the PlayStation VR exclusive games announced so far will surely be coming soon, so stay tuned for all the latest news coming from the E3 2016.
