Gamers looking to pick a fight on the PlayStation Vita will have plenty of options right out of the gate. The system's first wave of games is already expected to feature Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend, and Street Fighter X Tekken, and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today confirmed Mortal Kombat will arrive for the PS Vita in the spring. Mortal Kombat claims a Vita-lity this spring.
Developed by 2011's Mortal Kombat studio NetherRealm Studios, WBIE says Mortal Kombat for the PS Vita has been purposefully designed for portable gaming, and it includes "brand new gameplay features and content developed exclusively" for the PS Vita.
Further details concerning Mortal Kombat for the PS Vita are not available, but WBIE says more information concerning the project will be announced in the coming months. For more on the most recent entry in the Mortal Kombat series, check out GameSpot's review of 2011's Mortal Kombat.
