This post contains Powers spoilers.

　　As was the case with the first season, all episodes of the superhero show are free for PlayStation Plus subscribers. There will be 10 episodes in all.

　　A trailer for the new season has also been released, showcasing returning actors such as Sharlto Copley (District 9, Hardcore Henry) and Susan Heyward (Poltergeist, Vinyl). Also featured are season two newcomers such as Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs, Free Willy), Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica), and Wil Wheaton (Star Trek, The Big Bang Theory).

　　The story for season two takes place in the aftermath of Retro Girl's death. The season will dive into who killed her and what happens to the rest of the "Powers," the name for people with superpowers, in her absence.

　　Powers' first season debuted in early 2015. The show was renewed for a second season in May of that year, at which time Sony marketing vice president John Koller said the reception to the first season "has been incredible."

　　At the time, he went on to say that original programming will be a central point of focus for Sony going forward, adding that it would be a "key pillar" as the company looks to "broaden the value proposition" for PlayStation Plus.
