The PlayStation 5 Slim detachable disc drive may require an internet connection to be activated, but it seems its usage won't be as limited as many thought.

　　A new video shared on YouTube by TronicsFix reveals how a single disc drive can be easily used with multiple consoles by simply registering it again using an internet connection. Interestingly enough, it is also easy to swap the drive between consoles as, once registered, the console won't ask the drive to be registered again.

　　Unfortunately, the PlayStation 5 Slim disc drive still has an issue that may make it unusable. Last week, it was discovered that the drive will have to be registered again after a console factory reset, possibly making it useless once the online registration service goes offline.

　　The PlayStation 5 Slim isn't the only new hardware Sony is launching this month worldwide. In a few days, players will be able to purchase a PlayStation Portal, a remote-focused handheld that will allow players to stream PlayStation 5 games directly from the console over the internet.

　　The new PlayStation 5 Slim has started rolling out worldwide this month. The new console is slightly smaller than the original model and features expanded storage, connectivity, and compatibility with the external disc drive.
