Playlogic has the devil in it. The company out of Amsterdam today announced that it will publish Diabolique: License to Sin worldwide. The action game, from Polish developer Metropolis Software, also has a new release date--fall 2006.
Though the game has been announced only for the PC, an executive at its new publisher hints that it may also be coming to next-generation consoles.
"We are glad to have found in Metropolis Software a very talented development team," said Stefan Layer, COO and vice president of Playlogic. "In our opinion, this content-driven game will suit the next-gen consoles very well."
In the game, players explore their bad side by assuming the role of Dark Eaville, a devil from the underworld who goes undercover on Earth's surface to round up some souls. Hell must be tech-savvy, because Eaville is handy with fancy gadgets and computer hacking. But when jacking into a mainframe won't cut it, Eaville can also use his Satan-given demonic powers to turn into a ghost or suck the power out of captured souls.
