Um Jammer Lammy, the unofficial sequel to Parappa the Rapper, has been released in Japan. Rather than rap, in Um Jammer Lammy, you, as Lammy, play guitar. This opens up a few different gameplay options, such as pitch bending, and other effects like wah and flange.
The game is a bit harder, but also has a more rewarding payoff. Once you've beaten the game as Lammy, you can go back through the game as Parappa and rap instead of play guitar. Some of the harder, more guitar-heavy tracks are remixed for this extra mode.
The game also features a two-player mode, which lets two Lammys or one Lammy and one Parappa battle it out over the course of one song.
