GameStop on Tuesday announced the games and other special events that GameStop Expo attendees can check out during the one-day convention in early September.
A scene from the 2014 GameStop ExpoA range of high-profile upcoming titles will be playable on the 250,000 square foot show floor, including Destiny: The Taken King, Star Wars Battlefront, Halo 5: Guardians, Street Fighter V, Call of Duty: Black Ops III, and Rainbow Six: Siege. Other playable games include Assassin's Creed Syndicate, Forza 6, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, Super Mario Maker, Call of Duty: Black Ops III, Guitar Hero Live, and Overwatch.
What's more, attendees can try out Sony's PlayStation 4 virtual reality headset Project Morpheus, while the ViveVR headset from HTC and Valve is also coming to the show.
In addition, PC gaming will play a part in the GameStop Expo, as Alienware Steam Machines and Valve's own Steam Controllers will be available to try.
Attendees can also play a "real" Halo 5 match at the GameStop Expo by way of the "Breakout Arena," which first debuted at Comic-Con earlier this month. Teams of four enter a real battle space modeled after Halo 5's Crossfire map and shoot each other with BOOMco blasters--we tried it at Comic-Con, and it was fun.
Also on display at the GameStop Expo this year will be the $150 Xbox Elite Wireless controller, as well as a Rise of the Tomb Raider photo booth. Costumes will be provided.
The 2015 GameStop Expo takes place at the Sands Expo Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 2. Tickets start at $40. Head to the event's website to register. There, you'll also find a list of exhibitors and even more games that will be playable at the show.
