GT Interactive stopped by the Lombard, IL, offices of EGM and EGM2 today to show off its latest N64 title, Mike Piazza's Strike Zone. The game, developed by Devil's Thumb Entertainment, is a two-player sim or arcade style baseball game that features fully 3D environments, players, and stadiums.
For features, GT got a MLB license, so the game features real stadiums, uniforms and teams (including the two new expansion teams). There's both simulation and arcade style gameplay. You can create your own player; run fantasy teams and leagues (with your own custom logos); make real league player transactions, trades and drafts; and play Exhibition, Full Season, All-Star, World Series, and Home Run Derby modes. In addition, you can select from three difficulty levels - Rookie, Pro, and All-Star.
Customized players and season games can all be saved to the N64's Memory Pack. The game is also Rumble Pak compatible.
The game will be out later this spring. For now, check out some screenshots of the game.
