Physical copies of the Coalition’s Gears of War 4, will receive a whopping day-one patch of 11GB.
As covered yesterday, pre-loading of Gears of War 4 on PC is now available for those who have pre-ordered the shooter digitally, and the game clocks in at 73.33GB on PC. Its Xbox One counterpart is somewhat smaller, but still quite large – 54.6GB to be precise.
Although quite a download, the digital versions of Gears of War 4 won’t have to be updated with a day-one patch that was confirmed yesterday.
On Twitter, The Coalition’s studio head, Rod Fergusson, confirmed that the mandatory day-one patch is already included with the digital version of Gears of War 4, but a whopping 11GB patch is required for those who own the shooter physically.

To clarify - if digital, no day one patch since all 54.6 gigs are downloaded. If physical disk then there will be 11 gig download.
