Phil Spencer Is “Really Happy” On How The Xbox Scorpio Development Is Proceeding-October 2024
Oct 22, 2024 1:51 AM

Following the announcement during last year's E3, Microsoft hasn't talked much about the Xbox Scorpio, the new console from the company launching later this year, outside some very short comments which indicate that things are going well. Recently, Xbox's Head Phil Spencer commented on the upcoming console, and it seems like things are indeed proceeding nicely.

On his official Twitter profile, Phil Spencer stated that he's really happy on how the Xbox Scorpio development is proceeding, also noting how the design team is doing their "thing" again.

Really wish I could, design team is doing their "thing" again, really happy with what they've been able to do.

Earlier this month, we heard more about the Xbox Scorpio thanks to 343 Industries' Frank O' Connor, who revealed that the console seems to be beefier than expected.

Haha, although I probably “know” in that I might have seen it in a slide or something, it’s literally not something I have time to think about now and I actually couldn’t remember whatever specs I’ve been exposed to even if I was tortured. I literally couldn’t leak or answer a question that went beyond “Can I do this? Does it support that? How many of these could it render?”

What I do remember is that it’s beefier than I expected.

The Xbox Scorpio launches on a yet to be confirmed 2017 release date in all regions. We will keep you updated on the console as soon as more comes in on it, so stay tuned to Wccftech for all the latest news.
