More than 1200 players have signed up to participate in the second season of the Professional Gamers' League, and even though qualification matches have begun for the PGL's second season, players who think they have what it takes to walk away a winner in Quake II or Total Annihilation contests have until midnight PST April 10 to sign up for PGL season-two play.
Qualification rounds (a minimum of 25 unique opponents and at least 150 kills for Quake II, or 20 unique opponents and 25 complete games for Total Annihilation) must be complete by noon PST April 12, however.
The first 64 teams to be fully registered for PGL play (by Thursday - the deadline for that "bracket") will compete in PGL team play.
One-on-one players will be going for a share of the US$65,000-plus in cash and prizes that will be shared amongst the top 16 players in each of the Quake II and Total Annihilation categories. The top four clans will share $30,000 in cash once the Action Teamplay tournament is finished.
