PES 2017 Updates Contain New Player Faces, Stadiums and 4K Support on PS4 Pro-January 2024

Konami breaks down the next two updates for their premier football game, Pro Evolution Soccer 2017. Expect to see some fresh faces and new stadiums coming in the October and November updates for PES 2017.

Konami Digital Entertainment went into detail of what comes in the first two free updates for PES 2017. Konami has stated that they will be providing year-round support for their popular sports game. The first update will be available at the end of this month, with the second also coming at the end of November.

October's 1.02 update will be adding more improved player facial likenesses to PES 2017. Over 40 professionals are getting the photo-realistic face treatment such as Wissam Ben Yedder, Mario Lemina, Aymeric Laporte, Victor Wanyama and Denis Suarez. Not only are their faces getting added but their individual playing styles, too. The 1.02 update is adding new pitch-side hoardings and introducing new official boot styles to the game in case you fancy dressing your pros in some fancy footwear.

Konami confirmed that Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 will support the PlayStation 4 Pro when it's released next month. The November 1.03 update will include a 4K resolution mode, offering "greater visual definition" while running at 60FPS on the Pro. November will so be introducing Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund as premier partnership teams. This means that Liverpool's Anfield and Borussia Dortmund's Signal Iduna Park will be recreated within PES 2017 along with their official chants, squad likenesses and songs, including Anfield's 'You’ll Never Walk Alone’ anthem which will be heard as the players walk on to the pitch and during matches.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 is out now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC. Expect to see update 1.02 later this month and 1.03 at the end of November, which will both pack unspecified bug fixes in addition to what has already been mentioned.
