Persona 3 and Persona 4 director Katsura Hashino says that Atlus has multiple unannounced titles in the works.
Thanks to financial issues, that Persona 5 announcement will have to wait. According to a Japanese blog post on the Atlus site (via Dualshockers), the company could not make any announcement on the titles because of the bankruptcy of parent company Index Corporation. "As next year is the 25th anniversary of the Atlus brand, there were a few things we wanted to announce, but we need you to wait a little longer. All of the unannounced titles we’re still wrestling with are currently under 'earnest development'," Hashino said.
"We’re just trying to figure out how to further better them. While we’ve been spending our busy days full of challenges, we'll do our best to work heartily and not break concentration!"
Previously, Hashino confirmed that Persona 5 has been in the works since 2010. Bidding for Index Corporation topped out at 20 billion yen ($2 billion), with one of the bidders being Sega Sammy Holdings.
