Very little is currently known about Persona 6, the next main entry in the series by ATLUS, but it seems like we may not have to wait much longer not only to learn more about it but also to be able to play it.
In a new video shared today, Nate the Hate, who proved to be extremely reliable in the past, discussed with Modern Vintage Game the upcoming PlayStation Showcase, making predictions about what may be shown in two days. Speaking about some third-party games that may show up at the Showcase, it was mentioned that Persona 6 is unlikely to be among them. Still, the game is in the works, and it is apparently releasing in late 2024 as a timed PlayStation 5 exclusive, which sounds like a bold move from ATLUS and SEGA, given the PlayStation 4 install base.
In the new video, the rumored Persona 3 remake was also discussed. The game is likely to be shown during the Xbox Showcase next month and will release later this year. A Persona 5 spin-off is also in the works and will launch in 2024. As for when this game will be announced, no one can say, but there's the chance it may get revealed later this year, possibly at the Tokyo Game Show.
Of the Persona series project mentioned above, we know very little. The Persona 3 remake is said to be quite far along in development, and it couldn't have been any other way if it's indeed releasing later this year. This remake will feature visuals in the vein of Persona 5 and plenty of quality-of-life improvements that will vastly enhance the experience. Not all of the content made for the original game and the Portable version will be included, as the remake may not feature The Answer and the female protagonist.
