A new, enhanced version of Persona 5, called Persona 5: The Royal, is currently in development for PlayStation 4, but there's still the mystery of Persona 5 S. Atlus opened a teaser website for this project, and it seems like we will hear more about it very soon.
Earlier today, the Persona 5 S website has been updated with a teaser message, which confirms that more information will be coming on April 25th, which is the second day of the Persona Super Live 2019 concert.
Following the website update, the source code now shows the following message, as translated by Siliconera.
Letter of Notice
April 25, 2019.
We’ll change the world’s perception with the new Phantom Thieves.
We move for the voices calling for satisfaction.
We’ll once again take your heart at the Ryogoku Kokugikan.
- Phantom Thieves of Hearts
We really have no idea on what Persona 5 S actually is. Many are speculating that it is a Nintendo Switch port of Persona 5, which would make sense, considering the game's main character, Joker, is coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate soon. Rumors circulating online also talk about this port, but nothing has been confirmed so far.
Persona 5 is now available on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. We will keep you updated on Persona 5 S as soon as more come in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
