Saved By The Bell was a classic comedy series from the '90s about the students of Bayside High. Now, NBC's streaming service Peacock is reviving the show and may have cast its lead.
The lead role for Saved By the Bell may be played by Josie Totah (Champions), according to The Hollywood Reporter. She is currently in talks to play Lexi on the new series, the most popular girl at Bayside High who is a cheerleader and quick-witted. Her fellow students both admire and fear her.

Now Playing: New On Netflix In January 2020 - Best Movies And TV Shows To Watch!
This new series isn't a reboot. This show will take place in present day Saved By The Bell continuity, and both Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley will be serving as producers on the show and reprising their roles. The world around them has really changed according to the logline for the show: "When California governor Zack Morris gets into hot water for closing too many low-income high schools, he proposes they send the affected students to the highest performing schools in the state – including Bayside High. The influx of new students gives the over privileged Bayside kids a much needed and hilarious dose of reality."
NBC's Peacock launches this April, and there will be some original series--aside from content from NBC, USA Network, Universal Pictures, Dreamworks, Telemundo, and more. There have been talks for a reboot of The Office. However, aside from the Saved By The Bell revival, there will be a new Battlestar Galactica headed out way from Sam Esmail, the creator of Mr. Robot.
