The much-loved '90s high school comedy Saved by the Bell is set to return next month. A reboot series releases on NBCUniversal's Peacock streaming platform, and a new trailer has been released.

　　The new trailer gives us the best look yet at the new Saved by the Bell series. While it is technically a sequel to the original show, with various members of the original cast returning, it's also clear that it's very aware of its status as one of the most iconic teen shows of the early '90. There are several knowing references to the privileged lifestyles of the students at Bayside High, and new star Haskiri Velazquez has inherited the "time out" power that Zack had in the original, to enable her to speak to the audience. And most importantly, it looks like a very funny update. Check the trailer out below:

　　Peacock has released a synopsis for the show. It reads, "When California governor Zack Morris gets into hot water for closing too many underfunded high schools, he proposes they send the affected students to the most well-funded schools in the state--including Bayside High. The influx of new students gives the privileged Bayside kids (who never have a problem that can't be solved in twenty-two minutes) a much-needed dose of reality."

　　Original cast members include Mario Lopez as Slater, Elizabeth Berkley as Jessie, and Mark-Paul Gosselaar as Zack. The new cast includes Belmont Cameli, Dexter Darden, Mitchell Hoog, Alycia Pascual-Peña, and Josie Totah. Saved by the Bell will premiere on Wednesday, November 25, and all of the episodes of the series will be released at once.

　　In related news, it was reported earlier last month that NBCUniversal and Roku have finally reached an agreement and Peacock can be downloaded on Roku-enabled devices. This followed a series of escalating disagreements between Comcast-owned NBCUniversal and Roku over the sharing of ad inventory, which are the rights to resell services in channel stores and free content for an ad-supported platform.
