The Cleopatra movie starring Wonder Woman's Gal Gadot is moving forward, but it is undergoing a change in the director's chair. Patty Jenkins, who directed Gal Gadot in the Wonder Woman films, is moving to a producing role.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier director Kari Skogland is now directing the film, according to Deadline. The report said Jenkins is shifting away from directing to instead focus on Wonder Woman 3 and Star Wars: Rogue Squadron.
This won't be the first biographical movie about Cleopatra, as Elizabeth Taylor portrayed the historical figure in the 1963 movie Cleopatra that won four Oscars.
Paramount is developing the Gal Gadot Cleopatra movie. Spider-Man producer Amy Pascal is said to be working on another Cleopatra movie that could feature Lady Gaga in the title role.
As for Gadot, she recently starred in Netflix's Red Notice, which is now Netflix's most-watched original film of all time.
