The Kingkiller Chronicle series deals

　　The Narrow Road Between Desires is an expanded retelling of Rothfuss's short story The Lighting Tree and features illustrations by artist Nate Taylor. According to the book's description, the story follows the satyr Bast over the course of a single day "as he schemes and sneaks, dancing into trouble and back out again with uncanny grace." While it's set in the Kingkiller Chronicle universe, The Narrow Road Between Desires also works as a standalone story that new readers can jump in with.
