Last week , MTV News reported that Pan's Labyrinth director Guillermo del Toro was working with a "big" video game company on multiple projects. In the week that's passed, unnamed Los Angeles Times sources now peg del Toro's big-name publisher as transmedia proponents THQ. Del Toro to join the THQ family?
In the original MTV report, del Toro said the official announcement of his "technically and narratively very interesting" games would come in a "few weeks." However, THQ has not officially announced anything on the matter. The publisher had not responded to requests for comment as of press time.
If del Toro does align with THQ, he won't be the first Hollywood personality to create video games under the umbrella of an established publisher. Jurassic Park mastermind Steven Spielberg worked with Electronic Arts on the colorful Wii puzzle game Boom Blox and its sequel, Bash Party.
