Actor Owen Wilson has confirmed that he will be returning to Loki for Season 2 of the Disney+ series, reprising his role as Agent Mobius. According to Wilson in a Wired interview, filming will begin "pretty soon."
In a recent Wired "autocomplete interview"--in which a celebrity answers the internet's most searched question about themselves--around the three-minute mark, Wilson reveals the question on a card: "Is Owen Wilson coming back to Loki?" At first hesitant to respond, Wilson says, "Yes, he is coming back to Loki… We're gonna start filming that pretty soon. I had a great time working on Loki. I really enjoyed Tom Hiddleston and all the people on that." Check out the answer queued up below, and scrub around the nearly 11-minute Q&A for Wilson discussing much, much more.
Loki premiered in June 2021, and in the series the titular mischief-making god is charged with helping fix broken timelines. The show follows Loki--the one who grabbed the Tesseract and disappeared during Avengers: Endgame--as he finds himself working with the Time Variance Authority (TVA), a group that works outside of time trying to fix variations.
In addition to Hiddleston in the titular role and Wilson, the show's cast also includes Sophia Di Martino, Richard E. Grant, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and more. Michael Waldron writes the series--he also wrote the script for the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which just released a new trailer ahead of the Super Bowl's kickoff on Sunday.
