Obsidian Entertainment is about to release Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire in a couple months from now, but they have a bigger project under development. The game has been confirmed a while ago to be published under Take-Two's new Private Division label.
Thanks to Obsidian's forum user UrbaNebula, we learned that Obsidian recently filed a new trademark for a game called The Outer Worlds. It seems likely that this is the Private Division RPG, and its name suggests a sci-fi setting, which is something the developer hasn't done since Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords.
So far, very little is known about the project other than it will be a hardcore RPG without any microtransactions. The development team is led by industry veterans Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky, who've previously worked together on classic roleplaying games such as Fallout, Fallout 2, Arcanum: Of Steamworks & Magick Obscura and Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines.
