NPD PC game charts enter Dark Age
NPD PC game charts enter Dark Age-October 2024
Oct 21, 2024 8:42 AM

Apparently, PC gamers felt like getting wet Halloween week, when they made Trials of Atlantis the top-selling PC game. According to the NPD Group, the undersea-set Dark Age of Camelot expansion pack was also the fifth-best-selling software title overall, just behind the MS Windows XP Home Edition Upgrade. The new Sims expansion pack also did well its first week on the market, coming in second place. Railroad Tycoon 3 proved that people are still cuckoo for choo-choos by debuting at sixth, while Flight Simulator 2004: A Century of Flight entered the charts in the ninth slot. Activision was probably a little disappointed by the performance of Call of Duty. Despite glowing reviews and substantial marketing, the first-person shooter was tail-end Charlie at 10th, perhaps as a result of the overabundance of WWII titles.
