GameSpot has learned that SquareSoft will not be displaying its products at the fall Tokyo Game Show 2000. The company feels that the fall TGS 2000 is not the right time to showcase future titles, such as its upcoming PS2 releases in the Final Fantasy series. Additionally, SquareSoft cites the fact that, following the release of Final Fantasy IX in Japan, it does not have any games for release around the time frame of the show which begins on September 22.
However, Square expects to have a strong presence at the 2001 shows, as it plans to showcase its upcoming PlayStation 2 lineup at that time.
