No Man’s Sky Details Its Upcoming Community Events, Another Big Patch Released-September 2024
Sep 21, 2024 11:29 PM

Last month, No Man’s Sky finally dropped its long-awaited, game-changing NEXT update and developer Hello Games haven’t taken a breath since. The updates have been coming fast and furious (a new one dropped today) and the first season of No Man’s Sky community events has officially kicked off. This first batch of community content focuses on Specialist Polo and Priest Entity Nada, who are looking for intrepid explorers to investigate an uncharted corner of the galaxy. Here’s a few more details:

Specialist Polo and Priest Entity Nada are broadcasting a request for assistance. Polo’s advanced boundary monitoring equipment has located a previously undetected iteration of the universe and they urgently need explorers to examine and explore this glitch in reality. They need all the volunteers they can gather to help explore and document the reborn galaxies.

The first chapter of Polo’s research project examines a specific corner of the galaxy, where strange objects have begun spawning underground. Dedicated explorers who excavate and return them to the Space Anomaly will be rewarded with Quicksilver. Polo has constructed a new robotic companion to process this valuable substance into exclusive exotic collectables.

You’ll need to have completed the first Space Anomaly mission to take part in the new community events. Those who participate can nab 6 new base-building materials, 3 decals, an emote, and additional character customization options. Eventually, you’ll be able to collect over 50 items as this season of community events continue.

In other news, the Galactic Atlas, an online map of the No Man's Sky's sprawling galaxy, has been updated. A discovery tracking system, regional hub pages submitted by players, and more has been added. Check out the Galactic Atlas right here.
