On January 27, three more Game Boy Color titles are making their way to stores by way of Nintendo and Kemco. Wario Land II, the colorized version of Wario Land II for the Game Boy and sequel to the original Wario Land, is heading out the door. You can expect, as usual, a pretty fun Wario Land adventure. You'll roll around, bust through walls, solve puzzles, and play minigames between levels. Nintendo says Wario Land II for the Game Boy Color is more than just a colorized update of Wario Land II for Game Boy. All titles mentioned are backward compatible.
Also, Shadowgate Classic, which Nintendo is calling a perfect port of the NES RPG Shadowgate, is on its way to the Game Boy Color. The title has about 40 levels, lots of spells, the Shadowgate castle, scrolls - the whole nine yards. From a first-person perspective (actually, never really seeing yourself at all) you direct the gameplay by issuing the familiar text-based commands you click on with the directional pad and then pointing to initiate action.
And on the lighter side, Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle 3 is coming out, too. The third in the Crazy Castle series, this colorized game has you, as Bugs on a treasure hunt, running around, opening doors, grabbing keys, and avoiding that annoying Daffy character and other traps, within about 60 rooms. Sylvester, Tweety, Yosemite Sam, Taz, and Elmer Fudd are also included... as your enemies. Sound silly, again? Don't worry; Bugs has weapons.
