Nintendo has published its financial results for the 4th quarter of its current fiscal year (FY22), including data on global Switch sales, and sales of recently-released titles.

The earnings report was published on Nintendo's official IR information page just now, and this report reveals that Nintendo Switch sales have now surpassed 125.62 million units worldwide since launching in early 2017. The quarterly report covers sales data from the three-month period running through March 31 and mentions that Nintendo managed to sell another 3.07 million Switch units. As covered back in February of this year, Switch sales already surpassed the lifetime sales of the PlayStation 4. In its current fiscal year, Nintendo shipped roughly 18 million Switch units, which is down from the 23.06 million units from last year.

Other interesting sales data are from recently-released Switch titles, including Metroid Prime Remastered, Fire Emblem Engage, and Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe. All of these titles sold over 1 million units globally during the last three months. As of March 31, Metroid Prime managed to sell 1.09 million copies, Fire Emblem Engage sold 1.61 million copies, and Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe sold over 1.46 million copies worldwide. Impressive numbers for sure. Another impressive sales number is for 2017's Mario Kart 8, which managed to sell another 1.79 million copies globally and remains the best-selling Switch title to date with 53.79 million sold copies.

Meanwhile, ahead of the release of Tears of the Kingdom later this week, its prequel, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sold another 810.000 copies globally. Also impressive is that Pokémon Scarlet and Violet sold an additional 1.49 million copies during Nintendo's last quarter.

We've included a list of the best-selling Switch titles to date below:

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: 53.79 million

  Animal Crossing: 42.21 million

  Smash Bros Ultimate: 31.09 million

  Zelda BOTW: 29.81 million

  Pokémon Sword/Shield: 25.82 million

  Mario Odyssey: 25.76 million

  Pokemon S/V: 22.10 million

  Super Mario Party: 19.14 million

New Super Mario Bros. U: 15.41 million

  Ring Fit Adventure: 15.38 million

The Nintendo Switch is currently the third-best-selling gaming platform in history, sitting below the Nintendo DS and PlayStation 2 - both platforms surpass 150 million units worldwide.
