The Nintendo Switch console has received a vast amount of praise from many Japanese and Western publishers thanks to its innovative features. Some of these features make the console a very good fit for competitive games, according to Level-5 CERO Akihiro Hino.

　　Speaking with Nikkei Trendy about the Nintendo Switch, Akihiro Hino praised the Nintendo Switch, noting how the possibility of playing at home and on the go holds quite a lot of potential. This, in particular, makes the console a very good fit for competitive games, as it allows players to gather together and even enjoy online features together, as seen in the recently released Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

　　In the same interview, the Level-5 CEO confirmed that the team is working on an unspecified number of Nintendo Switch titles. While it's apparently too early to talk about them, it's likely that one of them is Inazuma Eleven: Ares, which has been confirmed for 3DS as well as for more powerful game machines.

　　The Nintendo Switch unique features not only make it a good fit for competitive games but also allow developers to improve on previously released titles. Yesterday, Bandai Namco confirmed that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will launch on Switch in North America and Europe this Fall, sporting features not found in the other versions of the game, such as motion controls option, local ad-hoc multiplayer up to 6 players and more.
