[Update] Following Eurogamer's report, another report from VGC revealed that one of the tech demos shown to showcase the Nintendo Switch 2 console was The Matrix Awakens Unreal Engine 5 demo, which ran with advanced ray tracing enabled and NVIDIA DLSS.

[Original Story] The Nintendo Switch 2 console was reportedly shown behind closed doors last month, with a number of tech demos meant to showcase what the console is capable of.

According to a new report posted on Eurogamer, Nintendo showed its next console behind closed doors to some developers, with partners bringing tech demos to showcase the system better. Among these tech demos was an improved version of Zelda: Breath of the Wild designed to "hit" the console's improved specifications. It is not clear if this improved version of the game will actually get released to the public.

With the Japanese company showing its console to developers, there's no doubt that the Nintendo Switch 2 announcement is getting closer and closer. According to reports shared in the past few weeks, the console will come with a new camera function, as much as 512 GB of internal storage space, an 8-inch LCD screen, and possibly backward compatibility with its predecessor.

The Nintendo Switch 2 console has yet to be officially announced, but it is rumored it will release sometime next year. We will keep you updated on the new system as soon as more come in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
