  1.7 million SNES Classic Mini consoles have been shipped as of September 30, Nintendo has announced.

  According to Wall Street Journal reporter Takashi Mochizuki, the Japanese gaming behemoth confirmed this during its most recent earnings briefing.

  Nintendo said it shipped 1.7 million units of SNES Classic as of Sept. 30.

  The NES classis mini successor was launched in North America and Europe on September 29 after being announced back in June of this year.
