The upcoming Legend of Zelda for the Nintendo NX will be a system seller according to Nintendo.

　　This E3, Nintendo decided to focus on the upcoming Zelda for the Wii U and Nintendo NX. The new Zelda, titled ‘The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’, is said to feature the largest Hyrule ever created. 　　Recent hands-on reports confirm that the world of the new Zelda is indeed amazingly large, and the game’s control scheme has been praised on several occasions.

　　Nintendo has high hopes for Breath of the Wild on both Wii U and Nintendo NX, but Nintendo strongly believes that the new Zelda will be the reason that gamers will buy the upcoming Nintendo NX.

　　The Financial Post recently had a chat with Nintendo of America’s executive vice-president of sales, Scott Moffitt, who talked about the NX and the Legend of Zelda.

　　According to Moffitt, Nintendo decided to focus on Zelda for this year’s E3 since the game deserved it.

　　“The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a game that deserves this level of focus. You’re right, it is our primary game we’re showing this year, and it’s just spectacular. For a game that immense and exciting we thought it deserved this sort of stage, and, frankly, this level of focus”, Moffitt told the Financial Post.

　　Nintendo’s VP of sales continued by stating that the new Zelda for the NX will surely be a system-seller.

　　"First, it’s really important to have the right content. Software drives hardware. We’ve proven that multiple times. The right game can really lift a system. With The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild being among the titles we’re working on for NX, we’re very excited it will be an immediate reason game fans will want to buy the hardware".

　　He then talked so more about the things that will make the NX a success among gamers.

　　“Second, it’s important to have clear positioning for your proposition and be able to explain it to consumers in a simple and easy way. Those are among the things that we are working on for NX”, Moffitt said.

　　“Third, we need to showcase all the things that make Nintendo great. When we bring out a title it has to be of exceptional quality, it has to be fun, it has to be an immersive experience, and put a smile on families’ faces. As long as we stay true to those things, we’ll deliver what we want”, he continued.

　　“And certainly there are other factors, like third-party content. Our mission is to create the largest install base possible so that third-party developers will want to bring their content to our systems”.

　　At this moment, not much is known about Nintendo’s upcoming new console, but more will be revealed this year.
