Nintendo Is Working on Unannounced Switch Games, Says Takahashi-October 2024
Oct 28, 2024 12:25 PM

There is no doubt that the first few months of the Nintendo Switch were satisfactory for the players, as we saw the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, ARMS and soon Splatoon 2. But that's not all, as there are several unannounced Switch Games in development that will continue to arrive without an official announcement.

This information was revealed by Nintendo EPD's General Manager Shinya Takahashi during the most recent investor presentation, who added that "We still have some titles that we haven't announced yet."

Takahashi mentioned that Nintendo is working on "a variety of projects" that seek to take advantage of all the features of the hybrid console. As an example, he said that 1-2-Switch has unique elements and that the company plans to follow the same path.

"We are working on a variety of projects now where we are asking ourselves how we can follow up on 1-2-Switch in terms of using Nintendo Switch to play differently, and what would be fun to play," said Takahashi. "We are looking forward to announcing some of these projects soon."

We know that Nintendo is working on important Switch Games for the fans, like Metroid Prime 4 and a new Pokémon RPG. Although there are no specific details at the moment, we expect the company to disclose some of them in the months to come.

Recently, Tatsumi Kimishima (President and CEO of Nintendo) was asked in a recent Q&A session with his investors about the "incredible growth" of the PC gaming market and Nintendo's intentions to take advantage of it. The manager's response was clear that they believe continuing to support their own consoles alongside mobile devices is the best option.

"We are aware that many consumers play PC games. However, we believe that the integrated hardware-software business is the best way for us to provide the surprises and new gameplay experiences that we want to achieve," Kimishima said.

Do you think it would be a good idea for Nintendo to enter the PC market in any way? Tell us in the comments below.
