The Nintendo Entertainment System NES Classic Edition announcement was a very welcome surprise for all those who love classic NES games, as the upcoming retro-console will come loaded with some of the best games released for it years ago. Not much else was known about the Nintendo Entertainment System NES Classic Edition, but a recent interview confirmed some additional features which should make retro-gaming enthusiasts quite happy.
In a new interview with Julie Gagnon, Nintendo of Canada Communication Manager, the console will come with a CRT Mode, a mode that will simulate the retro aspect of old CRT screen, and a Pixel Perfect mode, which will display each pixel as a square. These two modes will make playing classic games on Nintendo Entertainment System NES Classic Edition feel much better than on the Wii and Wii U Virtual Consoles, so fans of older Nintendo games definitely have a good reason to pick up the console later this year.
The Nintendo Entertainment System NES Classic Edition will come with a NES-style controller, which can also be used on Wii and Wii U, and 30 built-in games. Among these games are some true classics like the first three Super Mario Bros. games, the original Final Fantasy, Metroid, Mega Man 2, The Legend of Zelda and many others.
