Rockstar has announced the next event for Grand Theft Auto V's online mode. As with previous GTA Online events, this one--called Tornado Week--offers double XP, discounts, and new content.
The centerpiece of this update is a new car, the Declasse Tornado Custom, which will be available for purchase from Benny's Original Motorworks shop this coming Tuesday, April 5.
"Unlock the full potential of this beauty with a glorious range of upgrades at Benny's, including expressive and eclectic Livery choices, an abundance of roof design options and many more," Rockstar said.
While you'll have to wait until April 5 for the new car, new content is available in GTA Online starting today in the form of more maps for the game's Sumo mode. This mode, which came with the Lowriders Custom Classics update, is basically sumo wrestling but with cars--and explosive endings (see below).
Sumo mode at the airport looks totally crazyThe new maps are Sumo V (set on the SS Bulker ship) and Sumo VI, which takes place on the roof of the Sightings Bar & Restaurant at the airport.
Rockstar is also offering double RP for the Sumo mode, as well as contact missions from the Lowriders update and some race playlists. You can find the double RP playlists from the GTA V menu screen
Here is a rundown of the double RP playlist schedule:
Friday April 1 - Sunday April 3 - Sumo Adversary Modes (including the new maps)Monday April 4 - Tuesday April 5 - Street RacesWednesday April 6 - Thursday April 7 - Street Races (different set of Jobs)Additionally, Benny's Original Motor Works and all Los Santos Customs shops are offering a 25 percent discount on all mods, except base mods for Lowriders that have already been upgraded. Plus, all 10-car garage properties are marked down 15 percent as part of the Tornado Week promotion.
Lastly, the machete and machine pistol are 30 percent off from Ammu-Nation, while all Lowriders clothing is also marked down 30 percent.
