X-Men: Apocalypse hits cinemas in a couple of days, and we're down to last few promos for the movie. Over the past few weeks, a hilarious batch of fake retro video teasers have been released, pastiching the movie's '80s setting. The latest takes us on a tour of the "flush and fabulous" home of the mutant superheroes. Check it out below:
In a recent interview with Den of Geek, director Bryan Singer spoke about the film's period setting. "This one [is set] when I was in high school," he explained. "This was when I discovered my love for movies. And the arcade and video games. So I kind of brought a sense of colour to the film that I was more cautious about.
"You know, I always like the X-Men films to be very much grounded in reality, but here I could get closer to the comic book, I felt. The imagery from the comic book, in certain characters and their costumes, just the overall design. And the music, of course. So yeah, it was just a really nice era to play with."
X-Men: Apocalypse stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Oscar Isaac, Nicholas Hoult, and Rose Byrne.
