Pen-and-paper RPG fans may be happy to learn today that The Witcher developer CD Projekt Red has announced a partnership with R. Talsorian Games to make a new Witcher tabletop game.

　　R. Talsorian Games is the creator of the pen-and-paper RPG system Cyberpunk 2020. CD Projekt Red is, of course, also developing a full-fledged game of its own based on the franchise called Cyberpunk 2077.

　　Called "The Witcher Role-Playing Game," the new tabletop game will feature characters and creatures from the series it's based on, as well as numerous spells, rituals, curses, gear, and items. The game uses the Fuzion system, which is also behind Cyberpunk 2020 and others.

　　"The system will provide all the necessary tools to create and play out your own adventures and become everything from a battle-hardened monster slayer to a merchant kingpin controlling a vast network of contacts," the developer said.

　　The Witcher Role-Playing Game is scheduled to arrive in mid-2016. Further details about the game's system, price, and where you can buy it will be announced later.

　　This is not the first tabletop game based on The Witcher. Last year, CD Projekt Red launched The Witcher Adventure, a 2-4 player board game designed by writer Ignacy Trzewiczek and published by Fantasy Flight Games. A digital version for iOS and Android tablets was also released.
