A new Steam Deck challenger has entered the scene, as it looks like Valve's handheld PC gaming system will be getting some competition in the form of the Legion Go from Lenovo. Leaked images have shown off what appears to be the device, which looks like a combo of the Steam Deck and the Nintendo Switch.

　　Lenovo had previously hinted that it was developing a PC gaming handheld with a prototype that had detachable controllers similar to the Switch. According to Windows Report, where the images are hosted, the Legion Go comes has an eight-inch screen sandwiched between the two controllers and even a Switch-like kickstand that can be flipped out for quick gaming sessions.

　　These controllers have a more angular design overall, and some interesting extra features. The right controller has what appears to be a touchpad and a small scrolling wheel, giving it a few mouse-like extras. It's rumored that AMD's new Phoenix processors will power the Legion Go and the default operating system will be Windows 11, which, if true, means that you'll be able to play games from Steam, Xbox Game Pass, the Epic Games Store, EA Play, and more.

　　There are also some noticeably massive air vents on the rear of the Legion Go, and other inputs include a volume toggle, two USB-C ports, a headphone jack, a microSD slot, and back triggers. The competition in this space has become fierce, as the widespread adoption of the Steam Deck has seen the launch of the Asus ROG Ally and several new Aya Neo models in the market. Each PC gaming handheld has its own pros and cons, with battery life being a regular point of criticism on many systems Pricing or a release date for the Legion Go has yet to be revealed.

　　On the console side, Sony has Project Q in development, although this is more of a streaming device that transmits gameplay from the PS5 straight to its LCD screen.
