Following the reveal of the criticized Sonic the Hedgehog design for the upcoming movie, it's been confirmed that it would be changed. The new design has yet to be revealed officially, but something new on the matter managed to emerge online a few hours ago.
The new Sonic the Hedgehog design looks a lot better than the original, resembling more the character as we know him. The new design is still not confirmed to be official, however, so we have to take everything with a grain of salt until an announcement comes in.

The Sonic the Hedgehog movie first trailer showed not only the design for the blue hedgehog but also most of the cast, which includes Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik.
Sonic The Hedgehog is a live-action adventure comedy based on the global blockbuster videogame franchise from Sega that centers on the infamously brash bright blue hedgehog. The film follows the (mis)adventures of Sonic as he navigates the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound – human – best friend Tom Wachowski (James Marsden). Sonic and Tom join forces to try and stop the villainous Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) from capturing Sonic and using his immense powers for world domination. The film also stars Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic.
Sonic the Hedgehog is scheduled to hit theaters on November 8th.
