Rare has released a big new Sea of Thieves update which includes numerous fixes alongside stability and gameplay improvements.

　　The update is a full new game client which weighs in at 18.62GB. According to Rare, a smaller client update would have resulted in a delay of the patch. The next patch will be a much smaller update.

　　“We are also releasing a new game client to all players on Tuesday March 27th which contains a wide array of fixes across our services, stability and game experience”, developer Rare wrote earlier. “This is a full game update as opposed to just a patch. If we'd wanted it to be a smaller client update we would have had to delay by a number of days, and felt the priority here was releasing the improvements to our player base. This will be available to download during our maintenance window tomorrow morning. For our next client update, we plan to be a much smaller patch size.”

　　In addition to the above, Rare has said that the update should fix Xbox One X performance issues that players have been reporting. The update should also address the issue of players not receiving entitlements, and missing items are said to be fixed as well.

　　Sea of Thieves is available now for both Xbox One and Windows 10 PC.
