Rage has released new screenshots of Rocky, which is currently in development for the Xbox and PlayStation 2. Based on the movie, the game will feature all of the lead characters from the five Rocky films including Apollo Creed, Clubber Lang, Ivan Drago, and Tommy Gunn. Players must fight their way through a variety of single- and multiplayer game modes including a special movie mode, a knockout tournament, and exhibition. There is also a training mode that has been designed to enhance the boxer's skill and stamina. Rocky features motion-captured animation using real-life boxers and a wide range of actions from attacking hooks, jabs, and uppercuts to defensive blocks, ducks, and weaves. Environments range from run-down gyms to the world's most renowned arenas.
Rocky is currently scheduled to ship for the Xbox and PlayStation 2 in time for Christmas 2002.
