Sony has just released Playstation 4 firmware 4.01, which improves system stability.
The update is nearly 300MB in size (297.6MB). When performing a new PS4 installation, the update weighs in at nearly 900MB.
Judging from the firmware’s release notes, the update only offers a stability improvement.
This system software update improves the quality of the system performance.
Sony released the PS4 4.0 update last month, and includes a refreshed user interface alongside custom folders. Furthermore, the firmware update added HDR support on the PS4 console.
HDR support for all standard PS4 console, was announced during Sony’s PlayStation Meeting last month alongside the PS4 Pro announcement.
