Former Sega.com executives Bran Huang and Lynn MacConnell today announced the establishment of New Millennium Entertainment, an ISP and Internet gaming portal. The company promises to create a dedicated online gaming infrastructure to deliver a high-speed, low-latency network gaming experience for all gaming platforms. The network service will be able to support up to 1 million simultaneous gamers, and it will be compatible with all current and upcoming networked platforms, including the Microsoft Xbox, the Sony PlayStation 2, the Nintendo GameCube, and the Sega Dreamcast.

　　"New Millennium is the antidote to generic Internet connections plagued with network lags that make online gaming nearly impossible,'' said Brad Huang, chief executive officer for New Millennium Entertainment. "We will provide, online and in real time, gaming at the speed of light, giving gamers the bandwidth necessary for an uninterrupted competitive experience that maximizes what gaming is about: intensive graphics, nonstop fast action, and real-time command response."

　　The New Millennium gaming service will begin network testing in mid-March and will be launched before the spring is over.
