This is it--2021 is nearly behind us, and 2022 is just about here. As we're all hanging in for the glorious weeks ahead of holiday break, Disney+ is already doing its part to make January worth looking forward to. Disney+ has announced its full set of movies, shows, and other original content for next month--here's what you can expect to watch on the streaming service in January.
Arguably the biggest content making its debut on the streaming service all month are the continuing episodes of The Book of Boba Fett, starting on January 1 with Chapter 2 of the highly-anticipated series. The synopsis for the series is as follows: "The legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand navigat[e] the galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate." As the newest Star Wars show doesn't begin until December 29, in the meantime you can get further hyped by checking out the trailer below, plus this recent batch of character posters.
For something completely different, the premiere of the second batch of Season 2 episodes of The World According to Jeff Goldblum should do the trick. Episodes 6 through 10 hit Disney+ will have everyone's favorite mercurial, whimsical, and musical actor with an insatiable sense of curiosity doing his best to understand the worlds of puzzles, birthdays, backyards, tiny things, and motorcycles. The episodes will hit Disney+ on January 19.
As recently announced, on January 12, Eternals will come to the streaming service--joining 13 other Marvel Cinematic Universe movies now streaming in IMAX Enhanced on Disney+.
