April is almost here, and there is a new slate of content coming to Disney+ to celebrate. There will be both shows and movies coming to the service, and some of the titles will be available right from April 1--and that's no joke.
On April 19, Season 3 of The Mandalorian comes to a close. The Mandalorian Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) has been reunited with Grogu, as we saw from the events of The Book of Boba Fett. The Mandalorian will find himself with old allies while making new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together throughout the galaxy. (This last season has also had a couple of great deep-cut Star Wars Easter eggs, so here's hoping the finale will continue that trend.)
On April 28, a new take on an old classic comes to Disney+. Peter Pan & Wendy is a live-action reimagining of the J.M. Barrie novel and 1953 animated movie, directed by David Lowery (The Green Knight, Pete's Dragon). This original film follows Wendy Darling, a young girl afraid to leave her childhood home, who meets Peter Pan, a boy who refuses to grow up. The cast includes Jude Law, Alexander Molony, Ever Anderson, Yara Shahidi, Alyssa Wapanatâhk, Joshua Pickering, Jacobi Jupe, Molly Parker, Alan Tudyk, and Jim Gaffigan. The film is produced by Jim Whitaker, with executive producers Adam Borba, Thomas M. Hammel, and Toby Halbrooks, who also co-wrote the screenplay with David Lowery.
