Amazon Prime Video has a lot of new movies and TV shows arriving in May 2022. There are also a couple of Amazon Prime originals you'll want to check out as well, and because May is just around the corner, that means you don't have long to wait to check out the new content.
First up on May 13 is a surprisingly under-the-radar eight-episode revival of The Kids in the Hall, the Canadian sketch troupe who in the '90s taught us all the value of crushing people's heads. Unlike the enjoyable detour of 2008's murder-mystery comedy The Kids in the Hall: Death Comes to Town, this is a new season of Dave Foley, Kevin McDonald, Bruce McCulloch, Mark McKinney, and Scott Thompson back for new sketches and wild characters. Check out McKinney doing his best Lorne Michaels in the trailer below, giving an overview of the show.
If you somehow slept on Bill & Ted Face the Music back in 2020, it'll be coming to Prime Video on May 20. The movie, which is solid, hilarious, and not overly stuffed with nostalgia, got shuffled around a fair bit during the early days of the pandemic--mainly to avoid conflicts with the similarly shuffled Tenet. (Remember Tenet?) In this third film, which is a direct sequel to 1991's Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey, Bill and Ted must write a song to unite humanity before space-time is destroyed. It's a welcome return for the series, and is plenty of fun.
